Space Oddity

Today’s Sunday Express has an interesting article, giving some apparent insight into the inspiration behind Peter Capaldi’s new costume.

Since it is the sunday tabloid press it should be taken with a pinch of salt, but if true it certainly gives some depth to a relatively simple outfit.

BBC promo pictures - Series 8 launch

It a good two months until the start of the Pert Capaldi era, but the BBC have issued an official publicity image to promote series eight.

The Doctor now seems to be prominently wearing his tailored waistcoat. It’s been a while since we have seen that John Smedley cardigan.

Some people have spotted that the background image reveals the TARDIS has had a bit of a spruce up. There seem to be bookshelves on the left, and over The Doctor’s shoulder you can just make out an easel and blackboard.

Time, as they say, will tell.
